Entry 16 - Blue Berry Smoothie by Poornima Gummadavelli
















Ingredients:

1/3 cup blueberries
1/3 cup raspberries
1/2 cup apple juice
1/4 cup yogurt
3 ice cubes
1 banana


Directions:

Peel the banana and slice it. Add 1/3 cup blueberries and 1/3 cup raspberries to the banana slices.Add 1/4 cup of yogurt. I’ve used low fat.
Also pour in 1/2 cup apple juice.Add a couple of ice cubes. Blend all the ingredients till you get the smooth, creamy drink. Enjoy your smoothie :)

Advantages:

Blueberries possess a natural sweetness so you won’t have to add any sugar. They’re high in antioxidants and are a great source of vitamin C.
The banana will give the smoothie its creaminess.They are high in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood .
