Entry 4 - Strawberry Banana Smoothies by Subraja Nagabalaji

Recipe:

Ingredients:
Bananas -1big
strawberries -10
milk-1.5 cups
yogurt-1.5 cups
Sugar-1.5 cups

Procedure:

1.Grind strawberries , banana smoothly .
2.mix milk , yogurt and sugar in mixer .
3.mix both and refrigerate for 2 hrs.
4. serve cool.

Advantages :

strawberries have high in vitamins c(136%) and cancer fighting anti-oxidents.It also has anti-aging properties.
Bananas are rich in vitamin B6 and they are a good source of fiber, vitamin C, magnesium and potassium. Lack of B6 in a diet can cause weakness, irritability and insomnia. The potassium found in bananas helps to regulate blood pressure and may reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. Potassium is also essential for helping muscles to contract properly during exercise and reduces cramping up. Bananas also contain plenty of carbohydrates which are the body's main source of energy. They are also easy to digest.

It is a good source of high biological value protein, it is the primary source of calcium in our kids' diets and provides a number of other key nutrients including vitamins A and D and the mineral phosphorus, which are all vital for optimal bone development during childhood years.
